Hi
I just had my lapband surgery 4/19/10 by MD Christopher Edwards at St.Johns Hospital at Springfield,Mo.I started my own weight chart on March 11th.I lost from 365.5 down to 328 on day of surgery.I walk everyday as much as can because I’m disabled.
I go to have my 1st checkup the 26th on Monday.

Finally a blog that doesn’t sound like an informecial. Thank you for your honesty and helpful hints. My banding date is scheduled for August. Wondering, Gloiria, your weight was similar to what mine is. Did you need to have surgery for the sagging excess? What was your average weekly lose.
Hopeful in San Diego,
Diana

This does not sound like an easy way out but, a lot of dedication and work. Thanks for sharing the experience. You look absolutely fabulous!

I am about to have my procedure done next Tuesday and am getting very excited about it. For two years I read, researched and pondered. Now it is a go! Yea!

I had my lap band Nov. 30, 2010 and have lost about 40 lbs. I feel so much better and my hunger is under control. I use high protein drinks as my supplement or to go food. Costco’s has 30 gms protein and hardly any fat or carbs. I am the most excited about losing weight as I have ever been. It is a wonderful tool and I feel llike I am getting a life back. Precooked grilled chicken strips, string cheese, Fred Meyer has carb smart yogurt with 12 gms of protein in 6oz and about 0 fat or protein. I have added the peach into no cal peach jello and makes a great dessert.
